Scripture:

Spend some time reading and then pondering on what is said!

  • Mark 1:35
  • James 4 vs. 8
  • Mathew 6 vs. 33

Thought:

Our lives are often full of school, work, home and friendship commitments. Different times in the year can be more or less busy. Quiet times are like having breakfast. Many people don’t eat breakfast because there just too busy, or get up to late it the morning, this leaves them hungry and less sustained for the day. Having our quiet time is much like having breakfast, when we do we set ourselves up for the day. Not having quiet time may leave us unfocused and empty. So today take the time to have your spiritual breakfast and get all you need for the rest of the day!

Leadership / Worship:

Leaders can only give what they have received. When they are empty then what they tend to give is watered down and of little value, this often leads to de-motivation. When leaders are filled they give much and the results are motivation and fulfilling. Jesus wants us to be effective in our ministry and in reaching the lost.

Questions:

  1. Are you having a consistent time with God every day?
  2. What are you doing during this time?
  3. Does what you do full you, if not what do you need to change for you to be filled?

Practical:

  • Sit and think about how you can become more intentional in having quite time.
  • Set a reminder on your phone or alarm clock.
  • Find a buddy who can ask you every morning if you got it all this morning.
